Here's a list of my favorite sites from the World Wide Web.

• Entrez PUBMED

  • This is a search engine to search the vast data in the National Library of Medicine, USA. This site is perhaps the gateway of knowledge in the medical world. In short, PubMed is to Medicine what Google is to World Wide Web.

• Download.com

  • This was perhaps the first site from which I downloaded stuff. Its still a great site to download lots of stuff from games, to trial software, to free software and even mp3.

• DesiTorrents

  • For all those looking for hindi movies and music(mp3), this is a heavenly site. It hosts torrent files--so you need Bit torrent client like (Bit Tornado) to download them.

  • If you want more torrents, then there are a number of torrent site listings available. To name a few, which I found useful are:

• Hemophilia Society Mumbai (Chapter) (HSMC)

  • Well, this one is the NGO for which I work as a volunteer. Am the youth group leader and have personally built this site for the NGO. There are loads of other activities that I carry out for them. You could find out more in the section on HSMC and on the HSMC website.

   

• Prabs4u.tripod.com

  • This one is one of my good friends site. He has quite a few awesome pics related to astronomy and ornithology taken in and around Mumbai, apart from pics from his medical postings (I'll be present in quite a few of the pics) and picnics etc. A couple of pics he took got accepted at the NASA website...He's good at it--all with just a 4 inch reflector telescope and a Sony digital Camera with has a Manual Mode!! Interesting, isn't it!

   

• Nishaki.tripod.com

  • This is the site of another friend of mine. She's an achiever par excellence. Her achievements have found mention not only in college news but also in newspapers.

     and the best part is it is free and the programmer  (Michael Gardiner) is continuously adding features to it, which according to me are truly fantastic. He actually made this program for  his own use, but is now offering it to the entire human race!!

   

• ASTALAVISTA

  • This one is a security site with loads of cracks, cheats and keygens of almost all software and games ever produced by man. But be aware of legal issues before engaging in downloading from this site.
